Acquisitions and recapitalizations of private companies. Most of our investments are made to sponsor the acquisition of a private company where the owners either prefer to remain private or do not have the scale to access the public markets, but desire liquidity or an equity financial partner. In combination with these transactions, we often provide incremental growth capital, including acquisition financing, and arrange other forms of long and short term financing. With longstanding lending relationships, Chart Capital can efficiently and confidentially initiate and complete change of control investments in varied industries and economic climates.
Acquisitions of corporate divisions. Chart Capital partners with incumbent or outside management teams to acquire divisions out of corporate parents. We work with these teams to negotiate transaction terms and post transaction services agreement to insure a fair transition for all parties, and provide the capital and expertise needed to transition the business to a flourishing free-standing company.
Growth equity investments. On a selective basis, Chart Capital will make growth equity investments to accelerate organic expansion, finance acquisitions and provide some liquidity to founding shareholders or other constituents.
